Self-rising Flour

Per cup of self-rising flour needed: place 1½ tsp. baking powder and ½ tsp. salt into a 1 cup measure, spoon in all-purpose flour and level.

When a recipe calls for a weighted measure of self-rising flour, it is best to assemble a cup at a time, whisk to mix, then weigh out as much as needed. Store leftovers in a tightly sealed container and use soon.

You may also make your baked goods gluten free by using this same method with any gluten free baking flour — we recommend King Arthur’s Gluten-Free Multipurpose Flour.
