Asian Sesame Salmon

This is a wonderful and super easy way to serve salmon. Sweet and savory with a sharpness from lime, the flavors are so balanced and compliment the moist, coral fish perfectly. If you have extra time, marinate the salmon in the cooled sauce for a few hours in the fridge to intensify the fabulous Asian-inspired flavours.

Asian Sesame Salmon

3 tbs. sesame oil
4 tbs. honey
juice of 1 lime
2 tbs. soy sauce
2 tbs. rice vinegar
1 tbs. red curry paste
4 salmon fillets
3 tbs. sesame seeds

Heat the oven to 400°F.

In a small pan over a medium heat, combine the sesame oil, honey, lime juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red curry paste. Season with black pepper, then whisk until the honey melts and the sauce is well blended.

Place the salmon in a baking dish and pour half the sauce over the top. Bake for 15 minutes, or to your liking, them remove from the oven and cover with foil.

Pour the sauce from the baking dish back into the saucepan that contains the remaining sauce. Bring to a simmer to reduce slightly. Pour over the salmon and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
