A Slew of Sides
Just in time for holiday entertaining, we give you this week a collection of scrumptious sides to accompany everything from soup to roast beef. Take note that today’s recipe for Potato Farls is eminently adaptable and will serve all sorts of purposes from breakfast to a drinks party, and beyond. The Roasted Herby Mushrooms and Farro Risotto with Mushrooms are both so fully flavorful as to allow the busy cook to proffer simply prepared ‘mains’ alongside — roasted chicken or a seared steak, say. The Horseradish Potato Dauphinoise has the benefit, besides being stunningly good, of the possibility of advance preparation.
