Miso Mustard Pork Chops with Sesame Green Beans

These pork chops are truly delicious! The combination of savory miso paste, mellow mirin (Japanese rice wine, sold in supermarkets), tangy English mustard, and floral lime and grapefruit juices assures pure pork perfection! Sitting atop sesame seed-dusted green beans, the meal is complete with the addition of a side of steamed jasmine rice. Enjoy this . . . it’s easy and healthy!

Miso Mustard Pork Chops with Sesame Green Beans

2 large pork chops, trimmed
2 tbs. miso paste
1 tbs. mirin
1 tbs. lime juice
1 tbs. grapefruit juice
1 tbs. golden caster sugar
1 tsp. prepared English mustard
2 tsp. sesame oil
7 oz. green beans, trimmed
2 tsp. sesame seeds, white or black, plus extra to serve

Mix together the miso paste, mirin, lime juice, grapefruit juice, sugar, mustard, and 1 tsp. of the sesame oil. Heat a grill or griddle pan and cook the pork chops 10-12 minutes in total, turning and brushing with the sauce.

Meanwhile, bring water to boil in a skillet and cook the green beans for 2 minutes. Drain and return to the pan with the remaining 1 tsp. sesame oil and the sesame seeds. Cook for 2 minutes, then remove to a serving plate. Top with the pork chops and sprinkle with extra sesame seeds.
