‘Tis the Season . . .
. . . which means we’re busy in our kitchens, for cooking is one of the very best ways we can think of to provide comfort and nurture to those we love. We give you this week an even dozen recipes, from starters to desserts, with a few Bits and Bobs thrown in for good measure — festive and seasonal, these are recipes to enjoy NOW!
We’ll start with a Bitter Orange and Cardamom Martini, and Smoked Trout and Horseradish Pâté — divinely delicious together, but stand-alone special each. We’ll then offer Creamy Celeriac Soup, comforting yet elegant. Next up is Maple and Mustard Ham, followed by Cauliflower and Onion Cream, and Creamed Spinach — good, solid basics all. For dessert, consider Cranberry Fool or Christmas Tart Amandine; a bonus recipe for Cinnamon Shortbread rounds out the ‘Sweets” offerings.
